Meet Mike! A native New Yorker, he's lived in California for about a year and works as our DTC Coordinator. He's been overseeing the recent changes to our delivery system, and we couldn't be prouder to have him on our team.
Mike grew up working in the back of his family's medical offices and fell in love with helping people at a young age. His first jobs included work in various hospitality settings, including restaurants, country clubs, and hotels. He's also worked in event planning, and even planned a wedding! Mike went on to earn a hospitality degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, learning how to make customers happy in any kind of setting.
At his job as New Barn's DTC Coordinator, Mike's planning skills and knack for hospitality have combined with his life-long passion for food. "I've been in love with food all my life," he says. His past experience in developing food programs at local restaurants is serving him well in his current role.
As our society copes with an unprecedented situation due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we've been continuing to ship our products to our online customers. While most of the team is working from home, Mike is leading the effort to receive orders, pack boxes, and ship fresh organic food to customers. We're so grateful for Mike's hard work, and we're keeping him as safe as we can while he keeps our customers well-stocked and well-fed.
